At Compression Care, we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality compression care, education, and support — no matter their age or where they live.
That is why we are proud to support Brylan’s Feat Foundation and Camp Watchme, a special program that brings children and families affected by lymphedema together for treatment, education, connection, and community.
This year, Compression Care was especially honored to sponsor a child to attend Camp Watchme, helping make this meaningful experience accessible to another young person living with lymphedema.
What Is Camp Watchme?
Camp Watchme is designed to support children living with lymphedema and their families.
Managing pediatric lymphedema can involve ongoing treatment, compression therapy, education, and support from parents, caregivers, and medical professionals. Children may also have few opportunities to meet peers who understand what living with lymphedema is like.
Camp Watchme creates a place where children and families can connect with others who share similar experiences.
In June, families came together for another successful year of camp, participating in a week filled with treatment, education, connection, and experiences designed to create lasting memories.
For children who may rarely meet someone their own age with lymphedema, that sense of belonging can be incredibly meaningful.
Helping Children Become More Confident in Their Lymphedema Care
Education is an important part of successfully managing lymphedema.
Camp Watchme gives children and families opportunities to learn more about the condition, treatment options, compression therapy, and techniques that can support ongoing care.
Just as importantly, children have the opportunity to become more comfortable and confident participating in their own care.
Developing these skills early can help support long-term treatment adherence and empower children as they grow.
Supporting Pediatric Lymphedema Research
Camp Watchme also contributes to the broader goal of advancing knowledge about pediatric lymphedema.
During this year’s camp, Brylan’s Feat Foundation continued two ongoing research studies designed to build a stronger understanding of pediatric lymphedema.
Research and education are essential to creating a future in which children can benefit from:
• Earlier recognition and intervention
• Greater awareness of pediatric lymphedema
• Better access to appropriate treatment
• Improved education for families and healthcare professionals
• More effective long-term management strategies
Brylan’s Feat Foundation continues to advocate for something every child with lymphedema deserves: access to proper education, early intervention, and effective treatment.
Expanding Lymphedema Support Around the World
The reach of Brylan’s Feat Foundation continues to grow.
In recent months, the organization has welcomed additional children and families into its programs while expanding its reach into two additional countries.
That growth represents another important step toward making pediatric lymphedema education, resources, and treatment more accessible — regardless of where a child lives.
This mission strongly aligns with our work at Compression Care.
We are committed to improving people’s lives by helping make high-quality compression care more accessible, affordable, and convenient — no matter where they live.
Compression Care Is Proud to Support Camp Watchme
Supporting Camp Watchme is one way Compression Care can help extend that mission to children and families in the lymphedema community.
This year, we were proud to sponsor a child’s attendance at Camp Watchme, helping provide access to an experience that combines clinical care, education, encouragement, friendship, and community.
We are grateful to stand alongside Brylan’s Feat Foundation and the many volunteers, healthcare professionals, families, sponsors, and supporters who make Camp Watchme possible.
Together, these groups are helping ensure that children living with lymphedema have greater access to the resources and support they need.
Building a Better Future for Children With Lymphedema
Programs like Camp Watchme demonstrate what is possible when families, clinicians, advocates, researchers, and organizations work together.
Greater awareness can contribute to earlier intervention.
Better education can help families feel more prepared to manage lymphedema.
Improved access to compression therapy and treatment can help children receive the ongoing care they need.
And a strong community can remind children and their families that they do not have to navigate lymphedema alone.
Compression Care is grateful for the opportunity to support Camp Watchme and Brylan’s Feat Foundation, and we look forward to seeing the continued impact of their work for children and families around the world.
To everyone who helps make Camp Watchme possible: thank you for helping create a future where children with lymphedema have greater access to care, education, connection, and support.
